About Me

  I started this blog so that I could tell people about my experiences and how I came to be a writer.

I have been a piano teacher since I was sixteen. I have studied to become a teacher and have spent a lot of time with other people's children probably more than with my own.

I have always wanted to help people and it seems a path was set long ago that I should help them with their music (specifically piano).

It can be a lonely experience as a solo piano teacher as you mostly spend the time teaching.

I have been doing this alone for at least 30 years.

After having some advanced adult students who believed in the same things I did, I offered them the opportunity to join me. They agreed and we have successfully worked together for several years now. We also have student teachers at our piano school as we have expanded.

We offer general lessons in piano, theory and composing.

From these experiences I decided to write a book about one of the talented students I have.

Annabelle still has lessons to this day and is studying eighth grade at the moment.

I have overcome lots of health problems and still continue doing that all the while teaching. It seems that many of us have tough things going on in our lives that don't get talked about for many reasons. I feel that it is reassuring to know that others are in the same situation, that we are not the only one!!!
